Harvest Connection, a new initiative from Rensselaer County to promote local farms and farmers, needed top-to-bottom branding and marketing design for their project. Spiral developed an integrated suite of messaging, logo design, printed and digital marketing collateral including a website and app to engage the community.
With the website design, our team created an informational experience for users, allowing visitors to learn more about farming, see the latest information on special events, and search by crop and location to help plan their visit.
A growing recipe section presents ideas for cooking with what's in-season and found at local farms. Also sortable by certain dietary needs like gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
With the public need to use the website’s farm locator on the road, Spiral created a hybrid app putting the “Find Farm Fresh” function at the user's fingertips.
There were times when Spiral Design had a sharper vision of what our project needed than we did. They are wonderful professionals and know their niche very well and have a great way of bringing us along.
To help make sure the general public was informed about the new Harvest Connection app, we helped coordinate a press conference — held at a local farm — to announce it. Now the Capital Region can “Find Farm Fresh” wherever they are!
Tin signs were created and handed out to Farms to display at their stands and shops to promote their participation with the Harvest Connection, “Support our Local Farms” initiative.
